- WIC clinics are available at the Iberia Parish Health Unit for pregnant, breastfeeding, and postpartum women, infants, and children (under 5 years old). Please call the health unit for an appointment. Eligible participants must show proof of income and residency at the time of their appointment. WIC is a Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for pregnant, breastfeeding, and postpartum women, infants, and children (under 5 years old). WIC provides nutritious foods, nutrition information, and referrals to other health and social services. The foods provided may include: infant formula and cereal, adult cereals low in sugar and high in iron, milk (and lactose-reduced milk), cheese, juice, eggs, peanut butter or dried beans/peas, carrots, and canned tuna.
